1988年神奈川県生まれ。2021年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科先端芸術表現専攻博士後期課程修了。2016年にラブドールを妊婦の姿に加工しマタニティフォトを模して撮影した写真作品《The Future Mother》で注目を集める。19世紀の文化やヒューマノイドロボット、高度生殖医療などのテクノロジーを参照しながら、人形・写真・映像・光学装置を用いて、「人間と非人間の境界」を探求する。主な個展に2021年「仮想の嘘か｜かそうのうそか」資生堂ギャラリー（東京）、2022年「OPEN SITE 7｜菅実花『鏡の国』」トーキョーアーツアンドスペース本郷（東京）、2024年「I Won't Let You Go」1839 當代藝廊（台北）。VOCA展2020奨励賞受賞。
Born 1988 in Kanagawa, Japan. Completed the doctoral programme in Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2021. She gained attention in 2016 with "The Future Mother," a photographic series featuring love dolls modified to appear pregnant and posed as maternity portraits. Drawing on 19th-century culture and contemporary technologies such as humanoid robotics and advanced reproductive medicine, KAN works with dolls, photography, video, and optical devices to explore the boundary between human and non-human. Selected solo exhibitions include "Imaginary Lie" at Shiseido Gallery, Tokyo (2021); "Through the Looking-Glass" at TOKAS Hongo, Tokyo (2022); and "I Won't Let You Go" at 1839 Contemporary Gallery, Taipei (2024).
